Gulai ayam / Chicken Gulai / Chicken Curry
Chicken Gulai (Chicken curry) is one of the Indonesian dishes at cooking process takes a lot of seasoning. This dish is usually served on special occasions such as selamatan (thanksgiving) and so on. The degree of difficulty in making this dish is medium. Seasonings that must exist in dishes like ginger, turmeric, galingale, coriander, nutmeg and so that later you can see more on the seasoning. Ingredients:
  • 1 chicken
  • 1/2 kg chicken bones or offal
  • 1 1/2 liter of water
  • 1 stalk spring onion
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 piece of celery
  • 1/2 liter of Coconut milk

Spices are mashed
  • 4 grains of red onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 eggs hazelnut
  • 10 grams of coriander
  • 5 grams kencur
  • 70 grams of turmeric
  • 5 grams of ginger

Spices are crushed
  • 1 small cinnamon sticks
  • 5 grams galangal
  • 1 stalk lemongrass
  • 3 bay leaves
  • lime leaves to taste

Directions:
  1. Heat oil and saute spices was refined until fragrant
  2. Enter the crushed spices and pour the water and enter the milk and chicken
  3. heat until the chicken is cooked through and tender, stirring occasionally so that milk is not broken
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste
  5. Remove the chicken that has been cooked and cut into small pieces and serve with tomatoes, glass noodles, prawn crackers, rice / rice cake. In addition you can also add fried onions, celery, and red chili sauce.
